Pin Grading Scale

✦ A-Grade Pins ✦

Also known as "Standard Grade", these pins are the highest quality pins we offer. They are close to perfect, but because our pins are manufactured by hand, they may have some minor flaws that are mostly only visible up close or under certain lighting/angles. Some examples of A-grade flaws include:

• small, but not noticeable, air bubbles/dust specks
• light scratches on print/light scuffing on metal or enamel
• tiny air bubbles/dots on metal or enamel
• minor discoloration or unevenness in the metal plating

✦ B-Grade Pins ✦

Also known as "Seconds Grade", these pins have more noticeable flaws than A-grade pins, and are therefore sold at a discount. These flaws are visible even when viewed under normal lighting and at arm's length. Despite this, these pins can still make great display pieces and are perfect for wear. Some examples of B-grade flaws include:

• noticeable air bubbles/dust specks
• moderate scratches on print/scuffing on metal or enamel
• multiple air bubbles/dots on metal or enamel
• multiple areas of discoloration or unevenness in the metal plating
• interactive pin mechanism (i.e., sliding or rotating) is not as smooth
